Channeling: Cannabis as a muse for creativity...

It goes without saying that many artists throughout the years have attributed much of their creativity and success to psychedelics, including cannabis.

Perhaps one of the more famous people, being Steve Jobs, who once stated

"The best way I could describe the effect of Marijuana and hashish is that it would make me relaxed and creative."

There are quite a few studies out there that provide us with a clear indication that cannabis does correlate for the most part with heightened creativity.

However, it's not completely conclusive.

Most of us who have consumed cannabis, know that it can at times cause overthinking and paranoia. This is where strains come into play.

There are definitely strains that promote a more relaxed free flowing creativity, and then there are some Sativa's that are extremely mentally stimulating and might not be for everyone.

There are also some heavy Indica's that can lead to grogginess, which also in turn, probably wouldn't be the best for creativity.

Everyone is different though, so keep in mind that what works for one person doesn't mean it will always be the same for the next.

With any psychedelic, there will always be self-experimentation along with trial and error.

Personally, I recommend sativa-leaning hybrids for the most part when it comes to creative flow. I enjoy experiencing anti-anxiety effects along with euphoric upliftment to enhance my creativity.

Some strains I would recommend are, Orange Creamsicle, Super Lemon Haze, and sometimes a nice Jack Herer or XJ-13. One Indica I really love for creativity due to its euphoric effect is Zkittlez. It provides an overall more positive mental thought process.

It's important to note that cannabis is very self-reflective and can absolutely open your mind to other perspectives you may have not been open to before. Sometimes our minds can become subconsciously fixed to operate in such a programmed manner, that it can limit our capacity to think outside the box.

Once I began to use cannabis for creativity I noticed more of a desire and motivation to create, as well as more fulfillment and enjoyment during my creative process.

Cannabis is exactly why I am here now, writing to you all.

It's enabled me to pursue my passion of writing that I have had since I was about 5 years old. Writing has always been my biggest passion.

Not only is it therapy, but it's my soul speaking directly to you. It's the most beautiful thing to me. I'm eternally grateful for what this plant has done for me.

I always recommend setting an intention before you consume cannabis, as I truly believe it communicates to the plant what you would like it to provide for you. This plant is alive and it LISTENS.

Why do you think they play music in some cultivation's for their plants?

Talk to your cannabis and it will talk back.

Create with cannabis, and your art will expand past what your programmed mind is capable of.

When's the last time you did something creative?

I encourage you to consume some cannabis today and do something creative for your soul.

Maybe write a poem, paint a picture, sing a song, dance by yourself and allow your body to express itself in whatever way your soul desires.

We are creative beings, allow your soul the time to play and express itself today and always. Honor yourself and all your abilities, they are God given gifts that are intended to be used and shared.

May you be blessed tenfold for all the love you give, may you be kind,

may you be protected and have a beautiful week.

With Love & Gratitude,

The Marijuana Medium
