Channeling: The art of mindful cannabis consumption

Over the course of time, slowly but surely I began to understand the difference between consuming cannabis with, or without intention and mindfulness.
If you sit and take the time to think about what it takes from seed to sale for each product to get into your hands, it's really an amazing journey and process.
Separate from all that it takes to get the plant in your hands, there's also the aspect that people are still behind bars today for cannabis convictions.
It's truly disheartening and something we should never take lightly, or forget.
When I purchase, or am gifted cannabis, I am always so deeply appreciative of the ability to receive the plant and to consume it without worry.
To even be able to say that I've been able to make a decent living off of cannabis for almost 6 years is wild to think and sometimes say out loud.
Being a millennial 93' baby, I was able to witness and experience cannabis while it was more taboo and also now, where it's not as taboo.
There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not grateful for what this plant has provided for my soul and life.
There are many reasons to consume with intention.
Life is all about intention and putting into it, what we'd like to get out of it.
The same goes for cannabis.
Before I consume, I always take a moment to bond with my weed. I don't just smell and appreciate it when I first get it but also, each time before I smoke.
I really give thanks the way I would before consuming a meal.
Mind you, I've been extremely blessed to have had an abundance of cannabis come to me in this life pretty much since I ever began consuming, and not a day goes by that I don't appreciate it just as much now, as I ever have.
When you appreciate your cannabis and consume with intention, I genuinely feel that it results in an overall better experience and "high."
Imagine if you smoked every bowl, joint, or ate each edible like it would be your last... I avidly believe that everything in life should be done with this magnitude of gratitude. When you live your life more grateful, not only do you align with more beautiful experiences, but you also enjoy the ride a little more.
I encourage you, the next time you consume, to practice admiring and appreciating your cannabis. Speak to it. Let it know how much you appreciate it's deep relief and medicine, while also letting it know what you specifically need from it. Are you consuming for emotional relief? physical relief? creative expression? better sleep? Find what you are looking to gain from the plant, hone in on that, and then give thanks. I guarantee you will have a more elevated and healing experience specific to your needs. This plant is alive and receptive, allow yourself to experience it's maximum healing potential. I hope you deeply enjoy your next Sesh!
Thank you all for being here and I hope you have a blessed week!
With love and gratitude,
